Walt Disney World Baby Care Centers: Locations, Amenities & Tips for Families

Walt Disney World understands that visiting the parks with little ones comes with a few extra challenges. Parents need to think about things like feeding, naps, and diaper changes, all of which can be more difficult when you’re away from home and out of your usual routine. Add in unpredictable weather, high temperatures, and a busy park environment, and it can quickly feel overwhelming.

To help make those challenges easier to manage, Disney has placed a Baby Care Center in each of the four main theme parks. These centers do not require a reservation, are free to use, and are open during normal park operating hours.

Planning ahead for meals, naps, and diaper changes can make a big difference when visiting Walt Disney World with toddlers or young children. My Theme Park Trip Planning Bundle for Families with Young Children was created to help families approach those details realistically.

One park resource designed specifically for families with little ones is the Baby Care Center. In this post, I’ll walk through the amenities available in these facilities, explain why they can be so helpful during a park day, and share where each center is located.

Amenities Available at Walt Disney World Baby Care Centers

Air Conditioning

Baby Care Centers provide a cool, air-conditioned space where parents and their little ones can take a break from the Florida heat during their park visit.

Seating Area

Tables, chairs, and high chairs are available, making this a great place to rest and give your little ones a meal or snack.

Changing Rooms

Arguably the best amenity in my opinion, each center has a separate changing room with oversized, cushioned changing tables. A Disney Cast Member typically oversees the area and helps to clean the tables in between each use. Disposable covers are also available for added convenience.

Nursing / Quiet Rooms

Each facility includes private rooms with rocking or gliding chairs and a small table. Most rooms have doors that close for additional privacy.

Kitchenette

The kitchenette includes a sink for cleaning bottles or dishes and a microwave for heating meals. In our experience, some locations even have a bottle warmer available for use.

Restrooms

These restrooms are typically clean, less crowded, and air conditioned, making them a convenient option compared to other park restrooms.

Television and Entertainment

Many Baby Care Centers have a television playing classic Disney movies or shows to help keep little ones entertained during your visit.

Small Store

Each center includes a small store with basic essentials available for purchase. These items often include diapers, wipes, sunscreen, baby food, and over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol. Some locations may also carry a small selection of baby clothing.

The selection and sizes can be limited, but the store can be a lifesaver if you forget something important like wipes or sunscreen.

Where Are the Baby Care Centers Located?

The easiest way to find a Baby Care Center is by using the My Disney Experience app. Open the park map, scroll to the Guest Services section, and select “Show List.” From there, you can locate the Baby Care Center and view directions.

If your hands are full and navigating the app isn’t convenient, simply ask a Disney Cast Member and they’ll happily point you in the right direction.

Magic Kingdom

As you walk down Main Street toward Cinderella Castle, turn left at Casey’s Corner and head toward The Crystal Palace restaurant. You’ll begin to see signs directing you to the Baby Care Center, which is located next to First Aid.

Epcot

Head toward the Odyssey Pavilion and you’ll find both the Baby Care Center and First Aid Center nearby.

Animal Kingdom

As you pass by Pizzafari, continue toward Creature Comforts (Starbucks). The Baby Care Center and First Aid Center are located down a short walkway with plenty of shaded space to park your stroller.

Hollywood Studios

In my opinion, this is the most inconveniently located Baby Care Center. It’s located just inside the park entrance in the same building as Guest Services. It may appear that there is a long line. but that line is usually for Guest Services. You can bypass it and enter the Baby Care Center directly.

Ranking the Baby Care Centers at Walt Disney World

Although it’s incredibly convenient to have a clean, air-conditioned space to take care of your little one, we’ve noticed some clear differences between the Baby Care Centers at each park.

Animal Kingdom

By far the largest of the four facilities, the Animal Kingdom Baby Care Center is our favorite.

Its location near the center of the park means it’s rarely a long walk from wherever you happen to be. We often find ourselves walking past it multiple times throughout the day without even planning to.

Whenever we pass by, we’ll usually stop in for a few minutes to cool off, use the restroom, or take care of a quick diaper change.

The seating area here is noticeably larger than the other parks, with cushioned benches, as well as several tables and chairs. The changing room is also spacious and consistently very clean.

The small store even carries cold drinks in addition to baby essentials, which is a nice bonus on hot days.

EPCOT

The EPCOT Baby Care Center is the second largest of the four parks, and our second pick.

The seating area and changing room are slightly smaller than the Animal Kingdom location, but we’ve never had trouble finding a place to sit or an available changing table to use.

One tip: try to avoid visiting during peak meal times, when families are more likely to be using the seating area.

Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom Baby Care Center is smaller than some of the others and tends to be one of the busiest.

During our visits, there were two Cast Members helping guests find what they needed, cleaning the facility, and answering questions.

There were a decent number of seats available, but no tables, and there is not enough space to bring a stroller inside the care center.

Hollywood Studios

The Hollywood Studios Baby Care Center is the smallest of the four parks and has very limited seating.

Although it does include two nursing rooms and a small sofa with a television, we typically found ourselves using the changing rooms and leaving shortly after.

Because it’s located right near the park entrance, it’s also the least convenient location in our opinion.

If you happen to already be nearby, it can still be helpful. Otherwise, you may find it easier to use the changing tables located in some of the park restrooms.

Final Thoughts

I cannot recommend using the Baby Care Centers enough. When we first started taking our now four-year-old son to Disney, we didn’t know they existed and I wish that we had!

Our toddler is also an extremely picky eater and often won’t eat many of the options available in the parks. Visiting the Baby Care Center allows us to warm up a meal that we bring with us, which makes a huge difference during the day.

Taking a short break from the heat in a quiet, air-conditioned space can also reset everyone’s mood during a long park day.

If you happen to forget an essential item, the small store is there as a backup where you can pick up diapers, wipes, sunscreen, or other necessities.

Before your visit, try locating the Baby Care Centers on the park map so you can plan to stop by when you’re nearby. It’s a small resource that can make a big difference when visiting Walt Disney World with toddlers and young kids.
